Scope

This policy describes the offline Android app. It does not describe the browser preview, the BoldTech AI website, or a future online version of Nūr.

Information stored on your device

Nūr stores your saved passages and reading and playback preferences in the app's private local storage. These settings remain on your device. You can remove individual saved passages, change preferences, or erase all local app data through Android Settings. Uninstalling removes the app's local data. Android cloud backup is disabled for this app.

Collection and sharing

The current Android app has no account system, advertising, analytics or publisher-operated data collection. It requests no Internet, microphone, location, contacts or shared-storage permission. Text, fonts and recordings are included in the app. Voice generation happens during development, not from recordings of users.

Actions you choose

Copying a passage writes the selected text to your Android clipboard. Opening a source link launches your external browser. The linked website and your browser then apply their own privacy practices. Nūr does not control those services.

Support

If you email support@boldtechai.com, we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address, message and attachments. We use it to respond to your request. You can contact the same address about your support correspondence or to request its deletion.

Our support email is hosted through Hostinger. Hostinger and the providers involved in email delivery process messages to provide that service. Information may be processed outside Ghana. This is separate from the offline app, which does not upload your saved passages or preferences.

We delete support messages and attachments within 12 months after resolving the request. You can request earlier deletion by emailing support@boldtechai.com. We accept these requests except where retention is legally required. This commitment covers support records under our control; it does not set the retention period for the email provider's own service logs or independently managed backups.

Changes

Future changes to data handling require an updated policy and corresponding store disclosures.
